국제표준화기구 (International Organization for Standardization, ISO)는 최근 나노물질 평가에 대한 두 가지 표준서를 발표하였다.

ISO/TS 21633:2021 (https://www.iso.org/standard/71295.html?browse=tc) ‘Label-free impedance technology to assess the toxicity of nanomaterials in vitro’는 나노물질 독성 평가 시, 비침습감시 (Non-invasive monitoring) 방식의 실시작 세포 평가에 대한 것이다.

ISO/TS 23034:2021 (https://www.iso.org/standard/74368.html?browse=tc), ‘Nanotechnologies - Method to Estimate cellular uptake of carbon nanomaterials using optical absorption’은 근적외선 흡수방식을 평가하여 세포내의 탄소계 나노물질을 평가하는 방법에 대한 것이다.

ISO는 ISO/TS 23034:2021은 탄소계 나노물질의 흡수를 스크리닝할 수 있는 간단한 방법에 속하기 때문에, 정량화가 필요한 경우 다른 기술이 함께 응용되어야 한다고 언급하였다.
